PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT TERHADAP WANITA YANG TIDAK MEMAKAI JILBAB

Abstract

Islamic Sharia is a law established by Allah through His Messenger so that humans obey it based on faith, whether it is related to creed (aqidah), religious practice (amaliyah), or morality (akhlaq). Islamic Sharia has been almost entirely implemented throughout Aceh. Therefore, the implementation of Islamic Sharia in Aceh is particularly interesting to study. In Islam, wearing the hijab is an obligation to cover the aurat of a Muslim woman. However, in Southeast Aceh, there are some women who do not wear the hijab when they are in their home environment, but they wear it when going to the market or traveling to the city. This study uses a qualitative research approach. The data collection technique involved conducting interviews with community members to obtain information about the perceptions of the people of Jongar Asli village toward women who do not wear the hijab. In the interview technique, data were collected by asking questions to respondents and recording their answers either in written or recorded form. The results of this study indicate that the hijab is an identity of women who follow Islam. The hijab is defined as a piece of cloth worn by a Muslim woman to cover her aurat, which is an obligation for women who adhere to Islam.
