Abstract

This research is motivated by the low creativity of students in Pancasila Education learning, especially in the material of respecting cultural diversity in everyday life. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on increasing the creativity of class V-B students at SDN Lamklat Aceh Besar. The study used a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design through the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design model. The sample population as well as the study amounted to 27 class V-B students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, observations, and documentation. The research instrument has been tested for validity and reliability with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 2025. Data analysis was carried out using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test hypothesis test. The results showed that the average pre-test value of student creativity was 45% with a less category, while the average post-test value increased to 95% with a very good category. The results of the hypothesis test show a significance value of less than 0.05 (p < 0.05), so H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model has a significant effect on increasing student creativity in learning Pancasila Education material respecting cultural diversity in everyday life in class V-B SDN Lamklat Aceh Besar.
